upgrading localhost modx
So I've been trying to upgrade my locally hosted modx install with no luck. I'm using MAMP on OSX. My problem is when I copy the files over it won't allow me to update the site, I can only select new installation. I've tried to copy all the files over, no luck. I've tried to copy all the files but the ht.access file, I moved it out, copied the files and moved it back in again, no luck. The Modx guide says to use the Ditto command, but I'm not sure how that works. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be great.

Thanks

RE: upgrading localhost modx
What version of MODX are you upgrading from and to? Are you transferring the files using finder or using the command line? I would recommend you redownload the MODX install files and try again. I use MAMP too and don't recall running into this problem before, but I'll do a test run and see if I can replicate your problem.
